We identified Microsoft’s VDI / RDS (Remote Desktop Service)/ Apps hosted on Azure addressed all their concerns.​
Built the VDI base infrastructure on Azure, utilising VMs, Network Load Balancing, Storage, Express route gateway, MFA services, Backup etc.
Enabled the VDI infra on Azure in HA mode, including MPLS connectivity to Aegon’s Primary and DR Data Centre, enabling the team to access core/intranet apps from Azure.​
Built and segregated the network LB i.e. one for the intranet network and another for the internet network.​
Integrated Azure MFA (Multifactor Authentication) to allow users to connect to their RDS apps on the internet with additional authentication, either through phone-call or through the Microsoft Authenticator App.​
